Ed Pietzak, Senior Level Field Manager at LT, has Executive Level experience in High Rise Buildings and Multiple Property Management including expertise in  Building Operations, Utility Management/Energy Conservation, New Construction, Major Renovations, Space Planning and Future Capex and Asset Management.  in Ed's past assignment  with Hersha Hospitality Management, working as the  Vice President of Construction and Design, Ed coordinated a capital improvement budget of $18m per year in a 55 building portfolio.  In this assignment Ed hired his own in house project management team and reversed the construction department loss of $225k to a profit of $110k in one year by implementing sound accounting principles and competitively bidding out contractors.  Also while with Hersha, Ed implemented an energy conservation program that resulted in savings over $500k due to the conservation methods developed.  Ed also worked for 20 years plus as the Director of Engineering for the 2000 key New York Marriott Marquis Hotel located in Times Square. During this period Ed  managed 65 employees including six managers while maintaining an operating budget of $9M, utility budget of $8M, and capital expense budget of $20m.  As an Executive Committee Member he provided alignment in settling business objectives, asset planning and long range strategic goals for operations.  Some other major accomplishments achieved while with the Marriott Marquis Hotel include  establishing  Real Time Pricing with local utilities, which resulted in over $3M in savings, managing the installation of 3 Cooling Towers, managing the installation of a 900 ton Chiller and managing the installation of a Plate and Frame Heat Exchanger.  Ed also played an important role in the planning the development of the master plan to completely renovate, refurbish and reposition the building the property which included the renovation of all  2000 rooms,  5 restaurants,  lobby, public space  and 20 new escalators.  Ed has also worked for Starwood Hotels at the Sheraton NY Hotel as the Chief Engineer where he was responsible for HVAC and other mechanical systems maintenance as well as overseeing the 1,780 key renovation which included the installation of a new 4 pipe HVAC system.
