Careers at LT

Thomas Hughes, President and founder of LT, has over 30 years experience in Real Estate Development and Construction Management.  In his college years, Tom worked in the structural steel field where he started as an iron worker and quickly worked his way up to Estimating and Project Management positions.
Since those early years Tom has taken on assignments of increasing levels of responsibility.  After earning his Mechanical Engineering degree, Tom entered the General Contracting field and worked his way up from estimating and project management of small corporate interior projects to complete Senior Level Management of complex projects including renovations of operating hospitals and the gut renovation of an 18 building complex.  Tom then made the transition to the owner side and worked for private real estate developers, hospitality firms and Owner's Representative firms where he has managed the development and construction of nearly $2B worth of new projects and interior renovations.

Tom's extensive experience in the construction management field has not only allowed him to refine his approach to development and project management but has also allowed him to develop industry specific tools that are designed to prevent costly floods associated with broken water lines.  Tom currently holds a patent for  a job site tool.
